Man pleads guilty to masturbating in Chuck E. Cheese's

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- A Columbus man charged with child molestation is going to prison after exposing himself inside a children's restaurant.

Kenneth McGhee, 22, pled guilty to child molestation and delivering false information to police following an incident at Chuck E. Cheese's on Macon Road last year.

According to police reports, McGhee was he was pleasuring himself while Chuck E. Cheese's was packed with children and families.  A mother told police she noticed McGhee had his hands between his legs and was masturbating with his penis fully exposed.

Columbus murder suspect thrown out of court for laughing

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- A Columbus murder suspect pleaded not guilty in Recorder's Court Wednesday morning. The plea came after Javonta Harris was thrown out of court for laughing.

He was eventually allowed back in by judge Michael Cielinski. The 19-year-old is accused of firing a gun from a moving car, killing Antonio Robinson last month.

Harris' mother offered an explanation for her son's courtroom behavior.

Police investigating woman's death on Amos Street

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- A Columbus family is looking for answers into the death of their loved one. Police responded to the scene at 2322 Amos Street just before 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Authorities say 45-year-old Callette Molet died from a gunshot wound. Her body will be sent to Atlanta for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Preliminary results are expected back Wednesday. No arrests have been made at this time.

Georgia Power customers to save at least $100 a year

(WTVM)- If
you are a Georgia Power customer, expect to see a present on your next billing
statement. The Public Service Commission recently approved a rate
reduction.  

The average customer who uses about 1,000 kilowatt hours will see about an $8
price break each month.  The change in price is due to a reduction in cost
to generate electricity. 

"With so much bad news surfacing these days, it is nice to be able to say
your summer electric rates won't be quite as high," says Commission
