COLUMBUS, GA - Santa Claus is coming to town the night of Monday, December 19 for Knology of Columbus’ “Pictures with Santa” event. 

Santa will be making a special appearance at Knology’s office, located at 6050 Knology Way, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Customers are invited to have their 2011 holiday pictures taken with Santa, free of charge, while enjoying Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, ornament making and a showing of the holiday classic – The Polar Express.

COLUMBUS, GA - Students at one school decided to help others this Christmas instead of thinking about their own presents.

Wynnbrook Christian School's students decided they wanted to raise money for a good cause instead of giving gifts to classmates and teachers.

COLUMBUS, GA - The Jordan Sausage Company on 44th St. had thousands of dollars worth of materials stolen over the weekend.

The thieves took a 4'x7' sausage stuffing table and 10 smoke trees, worth a total of $15,000.

COLUMBUS, GA - When the doctoral hood slides onto Justin Finney’s neck during Columbus State University’s Dec. 16 commencement, the moment marks the end of a long journey for the Harris County educator and a monumental beginning for CSU.

After six and a half years of rigorous study while working full-time, the Mulberry Creek Elementary principal will become the first person to earn a standalone CSU Doctorate of Education. As university milestones go, this one is immense.

Columbus Tech names auditorium after long time employee

COLUMBUS, GA - To celebrate the early birthday of special longtime friend and lead custodian, Charles “Mr. Mac” McCaulley, Columbus Technical College has renamed its main auditorium in his honor.

The naming announcement came as a surprise Monday morning to the one hundred or so faculty and staff members, including the honoree, who attended the “mandatory presentation” called by Columbus Tech president, Bob Jones. The room will now be known as McCaulley Auditorium; customized signage has already been put in place.
