Columbus house burglarized for five days

COLUMBUS, GA - A home on Baldwin Street was the victim of a burglary that lasted almost an entire week. From October 20 to 25, an unknown number of people stole over $5,000 worth of property from the resident's house. A neighbor walked up and saw a black male in his 30's taking gutters from the house on Tuesday afternoon.

New hotel brand breaks ground for its first Georgia property

COLUMBUS, GA - Home2 Suites by Hilton broke ground today in Columbus, Georgia on the brand’s 14th extended-stay hotel. This property, slated to open in September 2012, is the first for the brand in the Georgia market.

Home2 Suites, a mid-tier, all-suite hotel brand designed for modern business travelers and extended-stay guests, features a distinct contemporary style with an emphasis on comfort, flexibility and easy access to technology. First introduced in January 2009, the brand already has five properties open in locations including Fayetteville, North Carolina.; Layton, Utah; Baltimore, Maryland; San Antonio, Texas, and West Valley City, Utah. Eight other hotels are under active construction, with nearly 60 additional properties in the development pipeline.

Zombie Walk took over Downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA - If you were in downtown Columbus on Saturday, you might have noticed a zombie hoarde taking over the city! You can see footage from a very lucky survivor of the zombies shambling through downtown. They seem to have disappeared, but look for them to return as it gets closer to Halloween.
