COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- A former Columbus police
officer who resigned last week for falsely accusing Chief Ricky Boren of using
a racial slur was suspended six years ago for making discriminatory remarks.

This is dash cam video
showing former officer Jeff Foxx making discriminatory remarks about
"white folks."

Foxx is African-American.

Records show Foxx was
having a personal cell phone conversation as he initiated a traffic stop in
2007.

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- Dollar General will host a
career fair at Dollar General located at 3729 Macon Road in Columbus, Ga. on
Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to attract new store candidates to join
its thriving and growing organization. 

This event will be one of
approximately 170 nationwide career fairs held on Saturday throughout the 40
states the retailer serves.

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- Parents, teachers, and
students stood in solidarity Wednesday night all for one cause: make their case
for why Marshall Middle School should remain open.

Wednesday night was the
final of two hearings that were held at both Marshall and Edgewood. The two
schools were recommended for closure as a way of saving the district $9 million.
