COLUMBUS, GA - Janet W. Davis will celebrate 20 years of leadership as President/CEO of TIC Federal Credit Union on October 1st. Davis, 52, is a Columbus native and a graduate of Kendrick High School and Columbus State University.
Davis was promoted to President/CEO on October 1, 1991. Under her leadership the credit union has undergone extensive growth, with assets increasing to $236 million to date. She has led a complete re-engineering of the credit union during the last several years, transforming TIC’s branches into innovative dialogue banking centers focused on experience and service. TIC is currently in the top 10 credit unions in Georgia.
Davis holds several board positions at the national and state levels and is heavily involved in the local community. She is past president of the Chattahoochee Valley Chapter of credit unions and has also served as Chair of the local Better Business Bureau. Her other involvement includes serving on the board of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, American Cancer Society and Columbus Hospice. Her highly decorated career includes receiving the Professional of the Year award for the entire country from the National Association of Federal Credit Unions in 1998 and the Moses C. Davis Professional of the Year honor from Georgia Credit Union Affiliates, also in 1998. She received the Georgia Credit Union Affiliates Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. Locally, she received the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award from Columbus State University in 2011 as well as the Columbus State University Alumni Service Award in 2005.
