COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The National Infantry Museum is the sight of a special screening of a documentary on one of America's most important days.

"The Americans on D-Day" will be shown at the IMAX theater in the museum on June 9. The 60-minute documentary is part of a trilogy of programs about Americans fighting in Europe during World War II, produced by Livingbattlefield Productions.

Jim Martin, a true American hero, will also be at the screening. Martin, an Army veteran of World War II, landed at Normandy on June 6, 1944 with the 101st Airborne Division.
