Walk to End Alzheimer's this Saturday October 29

COLUMBUS, GA - The Columbus Walk To End Alzheimer’s is Saturday, Oct 29 in Uptown Columbus.  Over 500 walkers are pre-registered for the Walk.  Opening Ceremonies will begin in the 1100 block of Broadway at 10 am, check in begins at 9 am. Participants will walk along Broadway south to 6th and back along the Riverwalk.  The Walk will conclude at about 11:15 with a beautiful Promise Garden of flowers “planted” in the 1100 block median to honor each walkers experience with this dreadful disease.

COLUMBUS, GA - The Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile has made its way to the Valley. Today, it will be visiting several homes to deliver meals to participants in the Lower Chattahoochee Direct Service Corporation meals program. They deliver over 30,000 meals to people's homes monthly.

Georgia Military College Columbus student attends national conference on Ethics in America

COLUMBUS, GA - Columbus native Nickulas Moses recently received the honor of nomination to attend the National Conference on Ethics in America, held at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.

The conference was held October 16 – 20, with three full days of keynote speakers, roundtable discussion, and seminars regarding ethical challenges in the educational and work environments.

Zombie Walk took over Downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA - If you were in downtown Columbus on Saturday, you might have noticed a zombie hoarde taking over the city! You can see footage from a very lucky survivor of the zombies shambling through downtown. They seem to have disappeared, but look for them to return as it gets closer to Halloween.
