Columbus bounty hunter robbed with BB gun | Crime

COLUMBUS, GA - Columbus Police say a bounty hunter was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday and the firearm used was a BB gun.

The 29 year-old victim told police that he picked up an unknown teen at St. Mary's Rd. and Buena Vista Rd. around 11 p.m. on Dec. 11. 

Once the teen was in the car, he told the bounty hunter where he lived then pulled out a gun and said, "Give it up."

The victim told him that he didn’t want any trouble and grabbed the barrel of the weapon pointing it away from him and then pulled out his taser.

The suspect ran from the vehicle into the woods on Forsyth St. 

Several other bounty hunters came to the scene to help.

The suspect was located at his home. He was taken into custody and charged with armed robbery.
