Three arrested with crack cocaine after getting pulled over | Crime
COLUMBUS, GA - Three people were arrested with suspected crack cocaine early Friday morning after police pulled them over.
An officer was on patrol in the area of Calvin Ave. and Head St.
The officer pulled over a blue 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser around 1:30 a.m. One of the passenger's, Monte Pace, age 40, got out of the back of the car and leaned into the front passenger seat.
Pace then began to walk off, the officer told him to stop, he didn't. Pace disappeared into a nearby home.
The driver, Marco Brookins, age 35, had a suspended license, and several other controlled substance violations against him.
The front passenger, Kimberely Walker, age 36, told police she didn't have an ID. When asked to get out of the car, police noticed a "clear plastic baggy containing suspected crack cocaine." The cocaine weighed approximately 3.3 grams, worth $330 street value.
The crack was individually wrapped for distribution.
Officers searched the vehicle and also found a prescription bottle that contained Tylenol and Hydrocodone. The bottles didn't belong to any of the suspects.
While searching the car, Pace yelled and accused the officers of harassing people from the porch of the home he walked into previously.
Police say they did not pursue him because the other two suspects were still outside.
All three said the drugs weren't theirs.
The owner of the pill bottles and the car came to pick up her items.
