Columbus man ambushed and shot

COLUMBUS, GA - A trip to pick up some TV's ended with a man getting shot Thursday on Hunter Road.

Police say the victim went to Hunter Haven Apartments to pick something up around 11:55 a.m. when he was ambushed and shot in the thigh.

COLUMBUS, GA - A 63-year-old Columbus woman remains in jail after a judge set her bond at more than $15,000.

Beverly Gardner is charged with possession of drugs, having drug related objects and loitering.

COLUMBUS, GA - Columbus State University Police are looking for a Marine accused of assaulting a CSU student in downtown Columbus during the early morning hours.

University Police say they responded to a call of an injured 18-year-old student at Columbus Hall on Broadway around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday morning.
