The Goodwill Success Center in Columbus is hosting a job fair for Freedom Home Care. They are looking to fill 40 part-time positions (20- 29 hours per week) in Muscogee and Harris counties. 

The job fair will be Thursday, March 28th, 2013 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Columbus Goodwill Success Center: 2601 Cross Country Drive, Building A, Columbus, GA 31906.

COLUMBUS, GA - The unemployment rate for the Columbus area has dropped to 8.3 percent in November, lower than one year ago.

The Georgia Department of Labor announced the preliminary unemployment rate dropped from 8.7 percent in October. The rate was 8.5 in November 2011.

COLUMBUS, GA - The preliminary unemployment rate in metro Columbus decreased to 8.6% in November, down eight-tenths of a percentage point from 9.4% in October. The jobless rate in metro Columbus in November a year ago was 9.5%.

Columbus State showcases options for earning Graduate degrees

COLUMBUS, GA - Columbus State University will stage a Graduate School Expo from 9:30 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 29, offering prospective students an informal opportunity to talk to representatives about CSU’s 36 graduate degree programs.

The expo in Room 156 of CSU’s Cunningham Center, 3100 Gentian Blvd., is free and open to the public. A light breakfast will be served. The expo offers prospective students an opportunity to explore program options in advance of CSU’s Dec. 10 deadline to apply for spring 2012 admission to most graduate programs.

Department of Labor hosting Job Expo in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA - The Georgia Department of Labor’s Columbus Career Center and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) will co-sponsor a job expo for employers, veterans, wounded soldiers, personnel recently separated from active duty, and other job seekers. It will be held Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 28-29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at VFW Post 665, located at 1824 Victory Dr. in Columbus.
