One woman got home to find her house damaged after the assault.
"When I got home there was police everywhere and my house was shot up. My china cabinet, my walls, shot up the tires on my daughter's car and so, I don't know. I'm just wondering what's next with these young people in Columbus," said Dianne McWilliams.
News Leader 9 asked the residents as they watched the scene, does this kind of violence make you want to leave?
"Well, I look at it this way. Where do you go?" said McWilliams. "You can go to the richest neighborhood in Columbus and it could still happen. Go to a gated community and it could still happen. So I might as well stay right where I'm at and take my chances. If it's meant for me to go I'll go."
Police have good information about the suspect.
