Pedestrian hit by car on Manchester Expressway | News

COLUMBUS, GA - A female pedestrian is in serious condition at the hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Manchester Expressway.

The accident happened at about 8:15 a.m. Thursday morning.

The victim began crossing on the westbound side of the street, and was struck in the eastbound lane near the exit for I-185.

This comes after a different pedestrian was struck by a vehicle just last week on the same road.

Officials say there have been numerous pedestrians getting hit by cars in this area, and urge people to be more careful crossing busy streets.
