Area high school students help clear the way for Whitewater | News

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- As construction on the Georgia channel nears completion, Servant Leadership students from Brookstone School will join Whitewater Columbus, GA project leader, John Turner, to help restore the river to its natural state.
These students – along with other volunteers - play an integral part in preparing the river to become the largest urban whitewater course in the world. Volunteers and archeologists have been helping clear more than 100 years of artifacts and debris that was exposed.
