Girls Inc. recognizes veterans
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- Three area Girls Inc. Clubs competed in a jump rope competition Monday, but not before stopping to say thank-you to area veterans.
"If somebody goes out and sacrifices their life for our country, it's very important to let them know that people back home really appreciate what they're doing for us to keep America free."
The jump rope teams recognized the veterans in a special ceremony, then presented each of the vets with a Girls Inc. Pin.
