COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- The
Polar Express 3D
is returning to the IMAX Theatre
at the National Infantry Museum for three weekends in December.

Kids (and parents, too!) are encouraged to wear their pajamas for
the magical journey to the North Pole to find the true spirit of Christmas.

The 2004 film is based on the children's book of the same title by
Chris Van Allsburg. It was the first motion picture not specially made for IMAX
to be presented in 3D.

Screenings of The Polar
Express 3D
at the National Infantry Museum have been made even more popular
by the lobby appearances of the train's Conductor. Longtime museum volunteer
and docent Owen Ditchfield plays the part to perfection, allowing youngsters to
hold his magic lantern while he punches their initials in their Golden Tickets.

This year's schedule for The
Polar Express 3D
is as follows:

Friday 11/30,
12/7

7:15 p.m.

Saturday 12/1,
12/8

3 p.m.
5 p.m.
7:15 p.m.

Sunday 12/2,
12/9

Prices are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors/students/military and $8
for children 4-12. Children under 4 receive free admission.
