2nd suspect arrested in connection to Majestic Bar shootings
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- A second suspect has been arrested in connection to the shootings at Majestic Sports Bar on New Year's Eve.
Shaquille Porter, 19, was arrested Thursday on additional unrelated warrants.
Columbus Police told News Leader Nine that investigators teamed up with Crime Prevention to bring Porter in. Sargent Bush says though Porter has been arrested the case is far from over.
"Any case we do is always ongoing and sometimes we say cleared but sometimes we still do investigations even after the fact trying to get additional leads for a very tight conviction," Bush said.
As for Club Majestic Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson has already started the process to close the club. The owners have been arrested and charged with not having proper liquor license and for allowing young people into the club
He is expected to appear in Recorder's Court Saturday, February 16.
