COLUMBUS, GA -  - Veterans may visit the Goo Goo 3 minute express washes located in Columbus, Ga., Tifton, Ga., Americus, Ga. Albany, Ga. and Auburn, Alabama 8am-7pm on Thursday, November 11, 2011 to receive a complimentary $6 car wash. Goo Goo believes that it is important to remember those who have served our country and has designed a program to emphasize the importance of support for veterans by the general public. Veterans will only need to inform Goo Goo verbally that they are veterans in order to receive their free car wash.

FORT BENNING, GA - The Benning Road "Stone Gate" will be closed from 6:00 p.m. Nov. 18 to 5 a.m. Nov. 21. 

The National Infantry Museum will be open and maintain regular weekend hours.  Visitors to the museum will be able to access it from South Lumpkin Road.  Residents of Fort Benning or motorists on the installation will be able to access the museum from Benning Road outbound lanes.

COLUMBUS, GA - The Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile has made its way to the Valley. Today, it will be visiting several homes to deliver meals to participants in the Lower Chattahoochee Direct Service Corporation meals program. They deliver over 30,000 meals to people's homes monthly.
