Midland family offers reward for missing flag pole

MIDLAND, Ga. (WTVM) -- Tom and Liz Kendrick woke-up on April 1st to find that their new flag pole and American flag were missing from their front yard. 

Liz Kendrick says that the flag pole was particularly of sentimental value to their granddaughters.  Confident that the situation is not an April Fool's joke, the family is prepared to offer an award for the return of their flag and pole.

COLUMBUS, GA - If the sun looks a little funny in this picture, it's because it's a blend of many pictures showing magnetic loops on the sun.

NASA posted this image today saying it captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory.

Incredible first time ever video of live giant squid

PACIFIC OCEAN (CNN) - It remained elusive for hundreds of years until now.  

You are looking at never-before seen video of a 10 foot-long giant squid, swimming far off the coast of Japan.

Researchers working with Japanese network NHK and the Discovery Channel nabbed this first-ever footage of a live giant squid deep in the Pacific Ocean during hours of research.

The enormous mollusk has suckers lined with sharp "teeth" and two very long tentacles.  

Biologists say the discovery is huge.
